Learning Tradition: No better place than village

Modernisation has made it very difficult or almost impossible to see some traditional rites performed in some the big cities in our country nowadays. With the advent of the social media, and cable television. Western influence the youth who youths know little or nothing about customs of their villages. However, modernism has not really affected some parts of our country like the Grassfields, where tradition is still very much present.

Indigenes of this area have made it a duty that their children should not only speak the dialect the same way they speak official languages, but also root them in their tradition at tender age. For this to be possible, vacation in the village is almost compulsory. Here, the kids get acquainted to their since they cannot fully utilise gadgets such as Android phones, laptops.
